FESTIVALS IN FILM

The Belgrave Twin Cinema has a long history of working together with local community groups and organisations to bring to Armidale a taste of the world through the wonder of film. A cinema festival is a great way to broaden your experiences of other cultures and societies that you may never before have had the chance to do.

A social event like no other, perfect for family and friends who can come together to enjoy the show, and perhaps new friends can be made in the process.

Below you can find information on the festivals currently slated to be held at the Belgrave. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate the relevant organisation hosting the festival - links in the descriptions - or contact us at the Belgrave, just click HERE.

INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The preeminent event of the year, the International Film Festival outshines each previous year in the scope of films selected. Held over the first weekend of August, with the opening gala on the Friday night, the International Film Festival packs 13 films from a variety of countries into two days and a single night of intense, yet thought provoking cinema.

2018 will see the 15th Armidale International Film Festival, and even as you read this, the dedicated and passionate members of the IFF committee are doing their utmost to bring together yet another wonderful and exquisite weekend of movies from across the globe. Last years festival was a sellout and this year we are hoping for the same kind of passion, as people from all over the New England, and New South Wales in general, made the trip to Armidale to be a part of such a wonderful event.

Mark your calendars for August 3rd, 4th, and 5th. You won't want to miss the milestone that will be the 15th Armidale International Film Festival.

Further information will be released to the public as movies are confirmed and we get closer to the big day, so keep checking in here or subscribe to the Belgrave's weekly newsletter, by clicking HERE, to be kept updated as information presents itself.

THE IFF WILL ALSO PRESENT UPDATES AND INFORMATION HERE OR ON FACEBOOK @armidaleinternationalfilmfestival

FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL

Another date to mark on your calendar, first weekend of June. This is when the Armidale French Film Festival will kick off, hosted by the Alliance Francaise Armidale, and showcasing five unique French films. You do not have to speak French to appreciate the art we are screening, nor to appreciate the French themed food that will be on offer.

The movies that will be on offer will be confirmed and made available soon, along with ticket prices and session times. Keep your eyes posted to the this page or join our mailing list HERE to receive weekly updates of sessions and events.

We also encourage you to follow this link HERE to the Alliance Francaise website where you can keep up-to-date with all their events and activities.
